SensGlass adds an interactive dimension to glass. SensGlass is made of multilayered glass with a conductive sensor layer on one side. The coating is highly transparent and weather-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor applications.
The Future-Shape radio module has a capacitive proximity sensor and is connected to the glass surface. When someone approaches this coated glass surface, a sensor signal is generated and sent by wire or wireless link to a control unit, which can open a door, switch on a light, adapt escalator motion or trigger an alarm.
