Generic robot navigation based on NaviFloor^®

Together with the informatics-department Intelligent Mobile Systems Lab (Prof. Christof Röhrig) of the technical college of Dortmund, Germany a robot control system based on the Future-Shape product NaviFloor is developed. An embedded navigation device developed by Future-shape provides GPS-compatible data when being attached to a mobile vehicle moving across NaviFloor. This way, conventional GPS navigation software can also be used indoor. This allows for a seamless navigation of logistics vehicles between indoor- and outdoor areas.
